The total revenue from the platform has reached above $150 million since its release earlier this year. However, Epic has lost 30 percent of their profit owing to Apple Store's policies. For those not in the know, in-app purchases can't be made on Apple devices from external sources and they must pass through the Apple store.
Apple subsequently charges a 30 percent cut from the cumulative transactions that pass through it. Hence companies have no chance of cutting Apple's 30 percent share of their profit and you wonder how they became a trillion dollar organization.

On the other hand, Android freely allows their users to install apps and in turn, perform in-app purchases from external sources.
